GRM Mapping has delivered the most advanced version of its interactive journey planning website software yet, for the Connect Tees Valley conurbation in the north east.
Covering Darlington, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Redcar and Stockton, this site includes data for 120 local bus and express coach services, from over 4,700 stops. As well as full routing and matrix timetable PDF downloads, the site includes a Nextbuses feed for next departure information for all stops, a link to the authority's own individual bus stop information panels at each stop in the region, and much improved walking and cycling routing information, the latter sourced from Cyclestreets. Real-time departure information for all National Rail stations in the region is also covered, the overall mapping area reaching Newcastle upon Tyne, Durham, Northallerton and Whitby.
Following on from the launch of the TravelFife site last month, this is the second site to be made live by GRM in the four months since its management buyout. Other interactive sites managed by GRM include those for Durham, Essex and Lincolnshire county councils. GRM has also recently won the contract to provide static public transport and wayfinding information for busy bus interchanges across Norfolk.
The site can be accessed at www.connectteesvalley.com - check out the interactive map by clicking the 'Let's Go!' button.
